"Women aren't small men"

I say this all the time because it’s true - and it’s SO important we start training, fuelling, and looking after ourselves with this in mind.

For too long, women have been handed cookie-cutter plans built for men, just made smaller. But you and your body deserve more. Your energy, your hormones, your cycle - they all matter, and ignoring that is a huge missed opportunity. My approach is about working with your body, not fighting against it.

This is your permission slip to stop comparing yourself to anyone else, and start embracing the way your body works best.

Train like a Woman

  • Work with your body, including your cycle. Learn your patterns, trust your instincts, and lift yourself up on the tough days.

  • Success doesn’t have one look. It’s finishing your first 5k, setting a new PB, or just showing up for yourself day after day.

  • Celebrate every little win - even the days where you “just” made it to the gym or chose rest. They all count.

  • Support each other. This community is here for high fives, real talk, and lifting each other up through every phase.

Common Myths Women Are Told in Sport

There’s so much noise out there, and sadly a lot of it doesn’t take into account our actual needs as women. Let’s bust some of the biggest myths:

“Just eat less and do what the guys do,”

Nope! Our bodies need fuel, and our training should support our cycle—not ignore it.

“Work harder, push through every day.”

Some days you’ll be on fire, and some days your body will need a bit more rest (thanks, hormones!). That’s normal—and it’s powerful to listen to.

“You’ll get bulky if you do weights.”

You’ll get strong, you’ll get lean, and you’ll feel amazing. Bulky? Only if you really, really tried—trust me!

“Pain is progress.”

No. Smart training is progress. Rest and recovery are part of the plan, not a sign of weakness.

Peak Contentment & Peak Performance

For me, true performance isn’t about pushing harder at all costs — it’s about finding balance. Peak Contentment is the sweet spot where training feels challenging but joyful, where you’re fueling well, recovering deeply, and showing up with confidence. When you build strength, honour your cycle, and train with intention, you don’t just chase medals — you create a lifestyle that supports both your wellbeing and your goals.

That’s where Peak Performance really happens: when contentment and ambition work together.

Peak Contentment is the path. Peak Performance is the result.

Together, they’re your roadmap to becoming the athlete — and the woman — you want to be.

1. Strength Training – building power, resilience, and injury-prevention.

2. Sport Specific Training – swim, bike, run, or whatever your event demands.

3. Fueling – nourishing your body for energy, performance, and recovery.

4. Recovery – sleep, rest, and active restoration to keep you strong.

5. Organisation & Lifestyle – fitting training into your real life, without burnout.

6. Mindset for Training & Event Performance – confidence, calm, and mental tools to handle the ups and downs.
